Tekton Begins a First for Maple Ridge

We are excited to announce that Tekton has begun pre-construction work on a new six storey, wood framed building. Changes to the BC Building Code now allow for the construction of wood framed buildings up to six storeys. This building will the first of its kind in Maple Ridge and one of only a few in BC.

The site is located at the southeast corner of Lougheed Highway and 223rd Street in Maple Ridge, a lot that is a gateway to downtown but unfortunately has been empty for close to 100 years. The new building will consist of one floor of commercial along Lougheed Highway, 43 residential units and two levels of underground parking.

Construction is set to begin in Summer 2011 and we will be sending out tender packages to interested subtrades over the next few months. If you would like to be added to the list of bidders, email Jared at
